IAN BUTTERWORTH
CREATIVE ENGINEERING
About
I work on several multidisciplinary biomedically-focused projects at MIT, collaborating locally and internationally with clinicians on firmly defendable unmet medical needs, for which we're innovating potential solutions unbound to a specific technical or clinical domain. My background is in acoustics, having spent 5 years in the acoustics department at the UK's national measurement institute, developing new measurement methods for sonic and ultrasonic applications. I am also a musician, and a lover of design and hacking.
